2025 Schedule of Events

WEDNESDAY, DEC. 10th
  • ​Dept 56 Display in Deane Center window at 104 Main Street.
  • 10AM Historic Ornament Displays begin. Visit 38 Wellsboro locations displaying historic ornaments made at the Corning Glass Factory in Wellsboro beginning during World War II. Participants getting passport stamps at 10 display locations or more will be entered into a raffle for one of three gift baskets wtih gift cards worth at least $200.
  • NOON-6PM Wrapped in Tradition: History of Shrink-Wrapped Ornaments presented by the Wellsboro Glass Historical Association at the Gmeiner Art and Cultural Center at 134 Main Street.

THURSDAY, DEC. 11th
  • Dept 56 Display in Deane Center window at 104 Main Street.
  • 9AM-6PM Book Sale at the Green Free Library at 134 Main Street.
  • 10AM Historic Ornament Displays continue. Visit 38 Wellsboro locations displaying historic ornaments made at the Corning Glass Factory in Wellsboro beginning during World War II. Participants getting passport stamps at 10 display locations or more will be entered into a raffle for one of three gift baskets with gift cards worth at least $200.
  • 10-11:30AM and 12:30-2PM (Last Tour Begins at 1:45PM) FREE Public Tours of Highland Chocolates Factory at 11724 Route 6.
  • Noon-6PM Wrapped in Tradition: History of Shrink-Wrapped Ornaments presented by the Wellsboro Glass Historical Association at the Gmeiner Art and Cultural Center at 134 Main Street.
  • 5-7PM The Great Christmas Cookie Bake-Off hosted by Tioga Publishing Company in the Penn Wells Hotel Lobby at 62 Main Street. Enjoy a hot cocoa bar and cookies while you watch Santa judge the contest.
  • 6:30-8:30PM Christmas on Main Street Kickoff Party hosted by Wellsboro Glass Historical Association! Start the week off with the WGHA at their Museum. Not only will you be able to view the historic displays, but we will have our very own “Mr. Shiny Brite,” Jeff Yeingst, showing off his personal collection and giving a talk about his love of Christmas Ornaments. Light refreshments will be served, and Christmas records will be playing! Come dressed in your best Ugly Sweater and win a prize! You will also be able to buy your Historical Ornaments Passport and get your first stamp. Tickets are $5 each and can be purchased at the Museum located at 19 Crafton Street or by calling Tracey Fox at (856) 371-5112.
  • 7:30PM All Is Shiny & Brite: A Holiday Cabaret is back by popular demand! This 1940s radio show theme sets the stage for holiday songs, humor, and heart—along with a festive Charcuterie for Two (must pre-order) and beverages for purchase—making this a night of cheer not to be missed. The Hamilton-Gibson Women’s Project in the Warehouse Theatre Gallery at 3 Central Avenue. $16 adults/$8 students. hgp.booktix.com
  • 7:30PM Rocky Mountain Christmas: A Tribute to John Denver starring Ted Vigil. At the Deane Center located at 104 Main Street. Tickets are $30 per person. deanecenter.com

  • 3PM till Close Dunham’s Department Store Hat Trunk Show with Christine Moore at 45 Main Street.
  • 3:45PM Arcadia Theatre showing Elf: Singalong Edition. Tickets are half price! Located at 50 Main Street.
  • 6PM Bring the family and enjoy a Christmas Concert and Carols followed by hot beverages and dessert. First Baptist Church at 25 Central Avenue. FREE!
  • 6PM Making Spirit’s Brite Parade and Sweets on the Green will go down Main Street and continue to the Green where candy will be handed out to kids. With a special appearance by Santa and Mrs. Claus!
  • 6PM till Late Free Friday Night Game Night at Pop’s Culture Shoppe at 25 Main Street.

Our adorable, festively decorated miniature horses are ready to pose with you and your family for the perfect holiday memory. $10 donation, pictures taken using your own phones. Located in the parking lot between the Methodist Church and Sherwin Williams on Main Street.
